The beautiful artwork featured below and on the main page of the website was created by Iowa City artist Jessica Duling of Refuge Studios.

Jessica created this illustration depicting the Palestine Sunbird as inspiration for our community to keep calling representatives, to keep using our voices, to keep demanding an immediate ceasefire in Palestine and Gaza and to fight like hell to end apartheid and all forms of patriarchy and supremacy.

All systems of oppression are interconnected so when we speak out to demand freedom for the seven charged in Johnson County, we must also cry out for the peace and freedom of Palestinians and of all people harmed by colonialism and occupation.
